Vernacular Press Foundation
Vernacular's newly formed Vernacular Press Foundation (VPF) provides contemporary artists and writers with opportunities to develop authentic voices and identities. Vernacular offers a venue for non-profit art and literary organizations to hold discussions on cultural and academic themes. Recognizing the nourishing reciprocity of artist-audience interaction, the VPF Gallery is dedicated to providing artists with the opportunity to present their work to audiences, and audiences with opportunities to experience and respond to artwork. VPF is developing a magazine that documents the process of creation and reception for artists and writers. By engaging artists in the cross-fertilization of disciplines (e.g., asking artists to write and writers to make art), the magazine intends to illuminate to artists and readers alike the fundamental importance of creativity and risk.
